Bourbon, Spice & Everything Nice

“Keep your friends close & your bourbon closer.”
-Old Kentucky Proverb

We couldn’t agree more. Our resident cocktail enthusiast, Kelly Schneider loves using bourbon in cocktails and she shared her recipe for a Kentucky Blossom with us. You can make her bourbon cocktail in just five steps and we think you’ll find it’s good to the last drop.

Kentucky Blossom Recipe

Ingredients & Tools

– 1 ½ oz. Woodford Reserve
– ½ oz. Simple Syrup
– 1 oz. St. Germain
– 1 Cinnamon Stick
– 4 ½ orange slices
– Ice
– Shaker Tin
– 16 oz. glass
– Highball Glass
– Grater

  1. Add the Woodford Reserve, Simple Syrup and St. Germain to a 16 oz. glass filled with ice.
  2. Squeeze three of your orange slices above the 16 oz. glass so it can collect the juices and add the squeezed orange slices to the glass.
  3. Grate some of the cinnamon stick, and add the grated cinnamon along with the stick to the 16 oz. glass.
  4. Shake vigorously!
  5. Strain in to a Highball Glass filled with ice and garnish with the remaining orange slice.
