Rye Not? A Simple Cocktail Recipe

Rye was the first whiskey made in America and is known for a distinctive spice character and serves as a key ingredient in classic cocktails like the Manhattan and Old Fashioned. With its renewed popularity, it’s exciting to see how America’s oldest whiskey is used in the modern mixology world.

Rye & Gosling Recipe

Ingredients & Tools

– Ice
– ½ oz of fresh lime juice
– 2 oz. of rye whiskey
– Ginger beer
– Lime
– Highball glass


1) Fill highball glass with ice.
2) Pour in ½ oz. of fresh lime juice.
3) Pour in 2 oz. of rye whiskey.
4) Top with ginger beer and garnish with a lime wedge.
