Meeting good friends for lunch, it was so pleasant to be able to talk and not have to shout to hear each other above the background music. Our server was friendly, helpful and professional. We chose the grilled salmon sandwich, two panko breaded halibut sandwiches with sweet potato fries and cole slaw ( not too mayonnaisey, just right) : all perfectly prepared and delicious . - 10/13/2024

A solid 4 for our trip to DeShay’s. Lovely setting, good service, and the food was decent as well. Love the cornbread in place of traditional bread or rolls, and the Caesar salad was good too. I had a cup of onion soup which I haven’t had for years and it brought back fond memories. My wife had the pot roast which she said was good, but I think it needed a bit more broth to tie it all together. I ordered the blackened grouper over pasta and a Gorgonzola cream sauce. The grouper was heavily seasoned on one side and cooked perfectly. I could have eaten two of them. The cream sauce was a bit watery and definitely had a Gorgonzola taste to it - a bit too much for me but it lived up to its billing. Overall not bad and worthy of subsequent visits, especially so we can try the bacon fat popcorn with a cold beer! - 10/09/2024

The crowd escalated to over 150 people, deSha's more than accommodated the increased crowd and the food was delicious. Friday evening at one of our favorite places, deSha's Cincinnati, we were warmly greeted and seated in our favorite chairs on the deck overlooking a pond with a water fountain. The specials sounded great, but I always order my favorite meal, the filet mignon—perfectly cooked steak accompanied by buttery mashed potatoes with skins, tender roasted asparagus, and moist, crumbly cornbread served with creamy whipped cinnamon butter. Any crumbs rolling off the table and hitting the water are quickly eaten by the fish in the pond that love it too! - 7/30/2024

We had a rehearsal dinner here for 30 people. They gave us a beautiful room in the back of the restaurant. We had a couple servers who did a great job. They started by getting drinks. It was a little slow but getting drinks for 30 people takes time. Then we had a buffet dinner. Pot roast was well seasoned and moist. The chicken piccata was excellent and a favorite of most of the people at my table. Gouda mad and cheese was so creamy and cheesy. It was amazing. Grilled vegetables were excellent and mashed potatoes were fresh and flavorful. The room was nice and secluded and they even had a 60" TV for us to show a video on. Good Morning Tina, I am so sorry that I did not respond immediately. I have been out of town and this is the first chance I have had to actually sit down and think about that night. Most importantly, I would like to thank you Tina for everything you did to make our event absolutely wonderful. You are very good at your job and you made it so easy for those of us on the committee to take care of hosting this event. The staff you assigned to us were incredible. Natalie, who was working that night made sure she greeted us and let us know if we had any questions to come and see her. And we did😀 ! Matt patiently & cheerfully handled a lot of our beverage orders and I can tell you he didn’t miss a beat while taking care of some very thirsty women. Most of all kudos to Patricia, who was the lead person for me to speak with. She was so attentive and so good at her job. She smiled the entire time and made sure to help make our event the success it was. We ran her ragged for a while there and she just kept smiling and saying we can do it. You have a treasure in this young woman. The chef went out of his way to make sure our food was hot, delicious and served when we wanted it served, even after a couple of changes on the time . He was so flexible. The food was amazing and everyone absolutely loved the fish, even people that didn’t eat fish loved it. Also, thank you so much for offering us the opportunity to have the staff cut and plate our cake for us. And it was incredible that you put out boxes & bags after the event to allow us to take the leftovers home.. The venue was perfect. I am so thankful that we got the little extra room to put the food and the cake in. That change made such a difference in how the room flowed. It was very helpful while we were setting up that Patricia and Natalie had ideas for us on how to arrange things. Having the band playing in the background was also a nice touch. I have a feeling though, we were so loud we were probably annoying the folks who were sitting in the levels below us trying to eat their dinners. I had lunch there with five friends yesterday. Three of us ordered the chicken salad on a croissant as part of the pick two on the lunch menu. We were all disappointed in that it didn’t come on a croissant as it had in the past It was on a brioche type of bread or something. I feel the menu needs to be updated if the chicken salad will no longer be served on a light, flaky croissant. The tomato basil soup was delicious!! The chicken salad itself was very good. I came here tonight for a friend's rehearsal dinner. We had a private room in the back which was very nice. We had charcuterie, fruit, crackers, and cheese to start. Entrees were served buffet style, and included salad, pot roast, and fried chicken, as well as Gouda pasta. I don't usually like pot roast but I liked these, and the fried chicken was really crunchy too. Dessert was delicious - some sort of cookie pie but shaped like a muffin, topped with ice cream. The whole experience was made simple, straightforward and efficient. We had a Celebration of Life luncheon there and were very impressed by the professionalism of the event-planning representative (Tina), the host and the staff. Our needs were anticipated by our servers, making it worry free. The food was very good, hot and ample amounts were served. Real butter was tremendously appreciated since some of us follow low carb. The dessert tray was fun and enjoyed. Guests were given to-go boxes to use to take some of the leftovers home. That was a lovely touch and appreciated by guests. When the staff saw us rearranging the tables, they did not hesitate to jump in to help. The restrooms were spotless and a nice quiet pace to get away from the need to socialize for a few minutes. My job has hosted its 20 year service anniversary luncheon for the past 2 years and it has been an amazing experience all around. The atmosphere is cozy and very classic decor, from white linen, fireplaces and high wooden ceilings. Its like a cozy cabin. The food is delicious and the staff are so nice and very accommodating. I've worked with Tina and she is great! Her communication is on point and she makes sure that if there are any dietary restrictions, that they are on top of it! I had the blackened grouper over angel hair pasta and a cream sauce. I had to ask for additional parmesan, as I did not care for the sauce. The grouper was a sizeable filet and delicious. He had the meatloaf. He said it was just ok. For the cost, it was essentially a 1/2 lb hamburger. Not outstanding, and he wouldn't order it again for $20. Service, once they got around to us, was pretty good. 'Alaina' was nice. We sat in the bar area, they were not busy, and it still took her close to 10 minutes to even approach us. Deha's is usually my "go to" place but this time we had a bad start. Three of us went for a birthday celebration and we started off with our drinks. The one drink was a manhatten ordered."up" (without ice). It arrived full of ice. The other two drinks were hot drinks--irish coffees and were served at cool temperatures. The good news is that our server took all three back and quickly returned with the accurate orders. After that everything else was perfect. The meals and appetizers were served perfectly. My wife had the Mac n cheese with pulled pork that she loved. Serving sizes were very large and not expensive. I was just a bit disappointed in drink prices. I believe $12 for a mixed drink is too much. My wife got the Jack Frost drink and enjoyed it, while I declined. If drinks would have been $8 or $9 we would have had more. I was surprised really...for a restaurant/bar that's been around for 42 years, I couldn't believe how neat and clean this place was. We asked if we could include slices of grilled chicken on the margarita pizza to which they absolutely agreed to doing. It really was delicious! And we would definitely order it again. The positives of deSha's are that the quality of food and preparation is excellent, especially given that most prices are moderate, and service is really good and competent. The "turnoffs" for some might be that the clientele tends to be elderly, and the decor consists of very dark wood, so deSha's lacks a strong upbeat vibe. I consider it to be a good place for a business lunch or a date night where you don't want an obtrusive atmosphere. Their buffet service for events is excellent. I never thought after growing up close to this high class restaurant that I'd ever enjoy the meals here. This was the place to go for prom dates or very special events. It's a very relaxing place to be in now. The food is high quality and the service is prompt and gracious. The atmosphere is causal and it's almost like family after you come in a few times. I enjoy coming in occasionally with the husband for food and drinks. I highly recommend you to come out and get you a great meal. I could not give this place more praise. I was in on a Wednesday night around peak dinner time, where it was moderately busy. My server was Courtney, and I cannot stress how wonderful the service here is. Courtney was very kind and attentive, and I didn't feel like I was ever needing something I couldn't get ahold of. What really surprised and impressed me too was that I had been sat for probably less than a minute before MANAGEMENT came by to check up on me, and later I saw another manager pouring water for a table in the same section. I used to work at a restaurant and I really envy how well the team seems to work together. Both management and my server were absolutely fantastic, cannot give them enough stars, and that's not even it! The food is OUTSTANDING. I've literally never had better spinach dip in my entire life. Last night was the second time going here, first was for happy hour a few years ago. The dinner was amazing, our server Mary was friendly and went out of her way to make sure we had a great experience. First they serve warm mild cornbread with a side of sweet fluffy butter which my partner liked a lot. I had the french onion soup and pot roast dinner, my partner got the prime rib pretzel sandwich, we loved everything. I would say the food quality was above average and worth the cost. And we split a creme brulee for dessert too, it was my first time trying it ever (my partner insisted). The custard was tasty and not too sweet, the caramelized sugar was not too thick and the seasonal berries were the perfect tart to balance out and compliment the other flavors. I highly recommend the crab stuffed mushrooms. They were incredible!. Finally I have to give a shout out to the manager on duty that night. We had one small issue where our server accidentally forgot to order our appetizer. We had not complained when the manager came to us to tell us she had been told we didn't get and if we still wanted it it would be out quickly. We got it within a few minutes and she removed it from our bill. This wasn't necessary for her to do but shows that they pride themselves on making sure their customers have a pleasant dining experience. - 9/30/2023 

deSha's hosted our family for a post- funeral lunch during the busy week between Christmas and New Year's. It was an outstanding experience, from making the arrangements and menu selections right through the event. The service provided to our family and guests was truly first class. The food quality was excellent. We ordered hot food with three sides: chicken piccata, meatloaf, gorgonzola macaroni and cheese, redskin mashed potatoes, a gorgeous house salad and we added the small dessert trays. There was more than enough food and the atmosphere was perfect with a generous private room and two attentive servers. We wanted to thank you and your staff for an amazing event for our small wedding! I don’t remember the names of the two servers dedicated to our space, but they were phenomenal! Very attentive to all of our guests and we’re so helpful with small things, such as closing the doors behind us when we did our little ceremony, etc. We as well as many of our guests raved about the food. The Tuscan chicken, especially got rave reviews! We were so pleased that our guests and ourselves could take home the leftover food. We had made reservations and we walked in a few minutes early and we were sat down pretty quick. Parking was easily except handicapped we only saw 1 spot not sure if they had more or not. But our waiter Tim was very helpful and was always around, took our drink and app order and it came out pretty quick. We then placed our order and it also came out quickly. I had ordered spinach salad with salmon. The salmon was kinda warm, usually a side order is hot off the grill. My only complaint. The place seemed clean, had a bar section also. Tim was a very good waiter. It was a Tuesday night so maybe not as crowded as a weekend nights,but was about 3/4 full. Would go back and highly recommend. - 9/30/2023 

Food was amazing. I had the spinach salad with grilled chicken. It had the perfect amount of dressing. My husband had the all American burger and fries. He said it was one of the best burgers he has ever had. Our server was really nice. And knowledgeable about menu items. Our drinks were never empty. We went for lunch and sat in the bar area. Wasn't loud. A very nice environment. Will definitely be back Parking: Lots of parking. As it's part of a shopping center there was tons of parking. Wheelchair accessibility: There were no steps. Doorways were wide. Tables were spaced enough. Someone in a wheelchair could get through as long as no one was at the tables. - 9/30/2023 

I have nothing more than praise for deSha’s of Maysville! A staple of the community for many years, yet they still continue to impress every time. From the warm hospitality you experience from the hostesses to the timely service from the waiters/waitresses to the superb food from the cooks. I can’t forget about the excellent bartender (Christa) who has the best personality and interacts with her customers as if they’re family. If visiting Maysville for a short period, passing through, or a local that hasn’t experienced some of the best food Maysville has to offer; you won’t regret it. - 9/30/2023 

Our family has been eating at deSha's for more than a decade and I'm happy to say that the quality has remained consistent all along. The two-tier dining system is actually pretty smart as they're able to serve two different clienteles under one roof. We're always on the bar side and the staff is always outgoing, friendly, and professional. Can't go wrong with the fish and chips and tomato soup, but there's a lot of great options on the menu. Kid-friendliness: We often eat there with our daughter. There's a good kids menu and the staff is great with children. - 9/30/2023 

A good place to order carryout. My wife and I each had the chicken salad sandwich (on a croissant) with the house salad. Delicious. My only ding is that the croissant texture didn't seem as light and melt-in-your-mouth as I recalled from earlier orders. I miss that about it. Still, not a bad deal. I'll reorder, and why not? As a cautionary note, be certain the young cashier gives you the correct receipt. I thought I saw an overcharge before I realized it was a wrong order. The situation was quickly rectified. I gave a bridal shower luncheon this past weekend at DeSha’s in one of their private rooms. I took decorations for my tables and some balloons. When I arrived, tables were all set up beautifully. I brought in theme decorated cupcakes for my dessert table. The food I selected was prepared perfectly, and the wait staff were outstanding. The luncheon went off without a hitch, and my guests said it was one of the nicest showers they had ever attended. I was so pleased that I chose DeSha’s. - 9/30/2023 

Really nice dinner on the edge of Maysville. Old fashion, warm feel. We ate at the bar and our barkeep/server Mariah was a bright spot. Full of great energy, she kept our drinks filled after a super long day of driving. The food was mostly very good. Favorites included the Corn Bread, mashed potatoes, Pork Chop, Sauteed mushrooms, sweet potato side {loaded with good stuff}. But the highlight was the carrot cake which we ate two days later on the train. Stunning! - 9/30/2023 

I had a very enjoyable time here. The restaurant is very nice looking. Our table was near the bar which was very well adorned and quite stocked. The service was amazing. Our server was very pleasant and certainly knew what she was doing. I got the large fish and chips. I substituted sauteed mushrooms for the French fries. The fish was outstanding. Brunch at noon on a Saturday. Excellent all the way around. Sat in the restaurant with a pretty view of the pond. The bar looked welcoming. I'm betting they know how to make a pretty good Old Fashioned. I just love the atmosphere of this place. Wife and I both had breakfast skillets. Both were cooked to order and very tasty. She had a Prosecco with berries and I had the the Kentucky Peach. Both are highly recommended. - 9/30/2023 

We went during burger week. Service was a bit slow to approach. But she was super friendly....im guessing spread thin. Had the yummy french onion soupand split chicken wings. I had THE BEST, HANDSDOWN Mac n Cheese ive EVER had anywhere!!! Seriously try it. So flavorful and creamy! The burger was rotelle and bbq chips. Love the Christmas decorations! Was in town to visit family so we met here for lunch. Loved all the seating options and it is clear this is a close knit community. Bourbon choices were on point! I wish I had time to sit by the fire and enjoy another drink. We were able to find vegetarian options and was able to modify the menu to make a gluten friendly meal. - 9/30/2023 

They were very accommodating for a large family showing up unannounced after a funeral. They were lovely but I was sitting with younger cousins and I felt like our table was ignored because most of them had parents paying who were sitting at another table. Beautiful atmosphere and a wide variety of menu items to choose from. Great place for a casual or business lunch or dinner. Some evenings have live music - check schedule. Eating here was an excellent experience. The menu has roast beef and a steak, then drops in price to a number of other offerings. We both had the pretzel roast beef sandwich with au jus dip. I had the Smoked Gouda and Chicken Rotini. It was the best meal I have ever had! I had the chocolate chip cookie with vanilla ice cream topped with caramel and hot fudge sauce. It was delicious!!
