Traveled to the area for work. This place came highly recommend. I wish I would have taken pictures. The food was delicious. I ordered their filet, cooked to a perfect medium. DeSha‘s Restaurant was a regular place for us before our move to the South. It is still a Great everyday locale. The night we visited , there were a small number of patrons. The food was fantastic: I had Jumbalaya, every bit as good as any I have in the past experienced. It was filled with tasty shrimp WHICH WERE TOTALLY SHELL FREE! We had reservations for 4 Saturday night. We were promptly seated even though our full party had not arrived. The waiter was attentive and brought water immediately for all including expected guests. The restaurant became very busy. Our drink orders were delayed but I think that was because the bar was backed up. There was a large party in their party room. We haven't been there in awhile but the ambiance of the place was first rate. I'm giving 4 stars for the food. Stuffed mushrooms were underwhelming. My dinner companions loved the onion soup. I had the meatloaf. Loved the mashed potatoes, green beans were overcooked and meatloaf okay. Fried chicken was chicken "patties" not a piece of fried chicken. It came with mashed and green beans. outstanding! late dinner and couldn't decide where to go so Mrs. mentioned pot roast at deShas and we went. Wasn't busy at all and parked right up front. We saw the outside dining by the door so when the hostess asked us i mentioned if there were outside seats and she put us out on the side patio overlooking the pond (?). Decided right away on the farmhouse salad, cornbread, pot roast and i got the panko fish n chips. Cornbread and salad came out right away and cornbread was a hero farmhouse salad not so. It was a huge portion of lettuce but not much else and was pretty dry and bland I'd pass next time or try something else. A side salad would be a nice addition ( hint hint ) The pot roast was very tasty with lots of roast and veggies in the bourdelaise sauce. Big and meaty. We'll split it next time! Panko fish was cooked perfectly big fish sticks, cole slaw was creamy with good taste just like that one chicken joints is ! And I got mashed over fries and used the Mrs. gravy . We love DeSha’s, it is a favorite of ours. Very comfy and cozy. The staff is very personable. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. I usually look at the whole menu and get the fried chicken. It’s cooked perfectly, comes with a milk gravy and mashed potatoes and the old fashioned soft green beans. Feels like Sunday dinner on the farm. My husband is a big fan of the shrimp and grits on the brunch menu that they offer on the weekend. I have a friend who always gets the grilled cheese and tomato soup! Good food, good service and live music too! When visiting in Cincinnati recently, we had dinner at deSha’s. It was over St Patrick’s Day weekend and thus was very festive! Our grandson had chosen the restaurant and we were delighted that he did! The menu was varied and the prices were reasonable. Our server, Curtis, was very attentive, knowledgeable and cheerful in his green hat! Our grandson chose the Maker’s Mac and Cheese and ate it all! He has been here before and always likes the food. My husband really enjoyed his Jambalaya! I had the Cranberry Salad with chicken and it was very good! There was live music playing and that was another enjoyable part of the evening! This was my first time here. The meatloaf was barley warm. The outsides of it was shard looked like it was burnt to attempt to warm it up. Our waiter forgot our cornbread which was really good BTW. I went to deShay’s with a friend for lunch. I ordered the fish and chips and received a large piece of perfectly fried fish. It was very crispy and satisfying, as it pleasantly filled me up. The service was outstanding, and the room was quiet enough that I could carry on a conversation with my friend. A solid 4 for our trip to DeShay’s. Lovely setting, good service, and the food was decent as well. Love the cornbread in place of traditional bread or rolls, and the Caesar salad was good too. I had a cup of onion soup which I haven’t had for years and it brought back fond memories. My wife had the pot roast which she said was good, but I think it needed a bit more broth to tie it all together. I ordered the blackened grouper over pasta and a Gorgonzola cream sauce. The grouper was heavily seasoned on one side and cooked perfectly. I could have eaten two of them. The cream sauce was a bit watery and definitely had a Gorgonzola taste to it - a bit too much for me but it lived up to its billing. We had a rehearsal dinner here for 30 people. They gave us a beautiful room in the back of the restaurant. We had a couple servers who did a great job. They started by getting drinks. It was a little slow but getting drinks for 30 people takes time. Then we had a buffet dinner. Pot roast was well seasoned and moist. The chicken piccata was excellent and a favorite of most of the people at my table. Gouda mad and cheese was so creamy and cheesy. It was amazing. Grilled vegetables were excellent and mashed potatoes were fresh and flavorful. The room was nice and secluded and they even had a 60" TV for us to show a video on. And it was incredible that you put out boxes & bags after the event to allow us to take the leftovers home.. The venue was perfect. I am so thankful that we got the little extra room to put the food and the cake in. That change made such a difference in how the room flowed. I had lunch there with five friends yesterday. Three of us ordered the chicken salad on a croissant as part of the pick two on the lunch menu. We were all disappointed in that it didn’t come on a croissant as it had in the past It was on a brioche type of bread or something. Awesome soups and salads in a wonderful atmosphere. The patio is also wonderful on a beautiful day. - 5/24/2024 

My wife ordered the Pot Roast Melt sandwich and loved it. My son and I both ordered the Prime Rib Pretzel sandwich, which was excellent as well. Elaina was an awesome waitress as well. My wife ordered the chocolate chip cookie dessert. Delicious! Not sure when we'll be back. We'll definitely stop here! You can't go wrong here! - 5/20/2024 

The food and service was excellent as always but it was so noisy we couldn't even carry on a conversation . We couldn't hear what the other one was saying. - 5/13/2024
