I ate here one time years ago and decided it was time for a revisit. I stopped in for lunch and ended up having the Combo Appetizer. It was very good but one of the potatoe skins was a bit too well done. The dessert was great and the Toasted Bliss was a bliss. There is a private room you can reserve ahead. Older style decor but newer TVs added so looks like a great place to go and watch sports. The service was great and food came out quickly. - 10/24/2025

I was recommended deSha’s by a coworker and it did not disappoint! French onion soup hit the spot and the smoked Gouda mac and cheese was smooth and creamy. Prices are very reasonable and there’s something for everyone. While the food was awesome, I have to highlight the service. Andrew took wonderful care of me and made sure I had a great experience! I just happened to swing by deSha's while on a business trip. I was in and out relatively quickly and had one of the tastiest burgers I've had in years. First time there with friends. Our table got the salmon and lg fish dinners and everything was delicious!! Our server checked in but not to much which I like! Got cornbread and carrot cake to take home which was delicious as well! My only pet peve is when we got there it wasn't busy and others were seated right next to our table. Fabulous local tradition! Great menu, along with some long time favorites! The fried catfish is delicious , homemade corn pudding, homemade french onion soup, kentucky hot brown... You just can't go wrong! Friendly attentive staff! You definitely must step in if you haven't! Update: i went back to try the crab stuffed mushrooms. I must say...ohhhh my gosh! I actually thought red lobster had the best. But i've changed my mind! DeSha's is the place to be for crab stuffed mushrooms! They even reheated well at home! I only put a two star on the atmosphere, because it's Christmas time and the music playing was hard rock and it wasn't digestible. So, I went to Desha's in Maysville with my daughter and a friend of mine. We go all the time, several times a year. I always get my favorite go-to-- a side salad and the Combo appetizer. This trip I wanted to try something different. I got the Irish Dip sandwich. Oh my goodness!! It is basically a Reuben. It is corned beef and Swiss, with sauerkraut on a rye hoagie and instead of thousand Island dressing, it came with au jus and a creamy horseradish sauce. Well, it is a huge sandwich and I couldn't eat it all, so I took it to go. Here I am two whole days later, eating the other half of my Irish Dip sandwich and let me tell you, it is just as good, re-heated as it was the day I got it. Creamy horseradish and au jus, man oh man, Delicious!! If you like Reubens, I highly recommend the Irish Dip at Deshas!! I only wished they were playing light Christmas music, because the restaurant was decorated very pretty for Christmas. The service was very well done, I think our waitress was somewhat new at the job, but she did fine and it was a great experience, except for the song Black Betty blasting and getting stuck in my head. - 12/16/2024

Great place! I've been in the business and this place operates like a well oiled machine. The staff has always been pleasant, kitchen on the ball, food is very good. On Veterans Day this year my wife and I stopped in to eat. We are both veterans. They fed both of us, from a special menu that was awesome by the way, and the meals were there large size meals! I've been here a few times, and they've never let me down. I especially like their potato skins, French onion soup, and cornbread. Parking: I feel they could use some HANDICAPPED ♿️ Parking in front. I need the wider parking spaces to get in and out of my car. Their entry doors could use a handicapped entry button as well. Wheelchair accessibility: I walk with a cane and it was difficult getting the door open and to STAY open as I navigate through. I could not imagine doing it with a wheelchair. - 11/02/2024 

Went here for a birthday 🎈 lunch with my daughter and son in law. The salad and fish slider was fresh with generous portions. The BLT has lots of bacon. One of us got the Irish dip Reuben sandwich and it was amazing!.Fried green tomatoes very traditional and full of flavor! The atmosphere is Kentucky horse themed with whiskey barrels and glass/brick/wooden polished bar. There is a huge glass etching of the Maysville bridge and Ohio River! This place was great! We got there right around 5 and it was already busy. We got seated right away and our service was very nice. I ordered the fried green tomatoes which were amazing, and fish and chips a small order (two pieces of fish) with fries and it's supposed to come with coleslaw but they did substitute another side for me. My mom ordered the three sides with cornbread, the loaded baked potato was really good, the coleslaw was also good. We were both eh about the cornbread. My wife and I were driving to Indiana to watch Monday's eclipse, and we decided to stop for an early dinner. We decided to stop at deSha's Restaurant on US 68 in Maysville, Kentucky. We had looked at the menus of upcoming restaurants, and that one caught my eye. A very welcoming hostess showed us to our table. It is a very warm, comfortable dining room, with brick walls, large exposed beams above your head, and a huge fireplace. Being in Kentucky, my wife ordered a shot of Woodfore Reserve Rye, and I ordered Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale. My wife, who is a bit of a bourbon and whisky connoisseur said the Rye was so smooth, and she definately picked up the woody fruity caramel-y notes. As for the ale, it had a real caramel flavor and was excellent, even at 8.2% ABV. For starters we had Coconut Chicken. We expected wlamm pieces, but we're served 4 entre-sized pieces. The chicken was juicy and perfectly cooked, and the coconut breading was very delicate. For dinner we both had the pan-seared salmon, served with rice. We both selected sautéed whole mushrooms as a side. The salmon was luscious. A nice "crust" on the outside hid tender salmon. Mushrooms were a bit on the salty side, but the juice left after finishing them helped the rice. All in all it was a very nice dinner. We will be coming through here again, as we have good friends in eastern Indiana, so we will be back. Definately a place to try. - 4/30/2024

So good ! So freaking good !! I don't get to Maysville as often as I used to , but when I do ,deSha's is always on the where to eat list (budget permitting). For me, it can be a little pricey, but I haven't eaten anything that wasn't worth every penny! This visit I started with the stuffed mushrooms, yummy yummy, main course was spring rolls with andoulli sausage (crunchy outside ,stuffed with real goody,inside)off of the seasonal menu and a small cup portion of French onion soup(French fries who?) and washed it all down with a glass of water,extra lemon! What a pleasant surprise! We came on a whim and I must say I enjoyed my meal and time here. Hannah our waitress was so sweet. She always had a smile and answered all questions with no issues. However, if you ever come please ask for her and you won't have a bad experience. Out food was really good. Should you ever want food that is simplified but tasty then here is a must. It has been quite a long time since we dined at Desha's. While I miss the atmosphere of the location past, it was still a very pleasurable experience. The food was as good as I remembered. The menu has a variety of Americana options sure to please everyone's cravings; appetizers - dessert. The adult beverage selection offers a variety of wines and beers; not extensive but satisfactory. Another visit to DeSha's and the food was prepared just as expected. The service was appropriate for these COVID times and there was no wait since we had a reservation. Our waiter, Matt was attentive and polite. I had the Fried Buttermilk Chicken which is one of my favorite meals here with green beans and smashed potatoes. It's been years since I had visited DeSha's in Lexington (which I always enjoyed), so when we stopped in Maysville, we had a good reason to visit the original. Since we weren't starving, we opted for a couple of appetizers ...and dessert. The crab stuffed mushrooms make a great taste combination; I would have preferred them a touch more browned and less cheesy, but the flavor was still excellent. We also tried the cheese stuffed banana peppers. Actually, they could more accurately be described as cheese stuffed wontons with a strip of banana pepper. It's a great combination of flavors, but we were a little disappointed that it wasn't actually a full pepper. But, the dessert made up for any shortcomings -- the turtle cheesecake is actually a perfectly creamy, delicious New York cheesecake that is then sprinkled with Heath Bar chips, chocolate and caramel syrups, and whipped cream. Decided to give this restaurant another try as my first experience was a little lackluster, and I must say the second time was a charm. I had the fried fish with slaw and fries, and my boyfriend had a mushroom burger with cheese and a bordelaise sauce.......it did not disappoint.
